Niyathi and her lovely family are moving back to Mumbai soon and wanted to have a family shoot done before they left to help the family remember what a great place SA is and what a lovely time they had living here. The girls especially will miss it as the youngest, Samyra, was very young when they moved here. We all hope they have a safe and easy return to India and that they will come back to SA for a visit soon.
Karyn was gifted one of my family shoot vouchers by a mutual friend of ours. I love helping to capture memories for people, especially with young children as they grow so fast and vouchers make great gifts which keep giving for years to come. Little Courtney was a little shy at first but that only provided for some beautiful images of mom and daughter. Beautiful images of a beautiful family.
Last month, Xan asked me to shoot the new kids range from the company she and her sister, Charlie, founded. BENA makes the most beautiful luxury women’s and kids loungewear so I knew we would get some great images from the shoot. Xan’s best friend, Shelly, co-owns Dovetail, a children’s furniture and décor company with creativity and accessibility at its core, and they supplied the beautiful furniture and toys which just added to the clean look for the shoot. Please click on the links above to visit their sites to see full ranges.
PS. You might recognise one of the little models from this page. Yes, that is my son, earning his keep doing some part time modeling.
Jon, Justin and Katherine wanted to have a family photo shoot done for their mom’s birthday. We arranged for the whole family (all 15 of them) to meet in our local park one cold afternoon (JHB winters are pretty chilly but the warm afternoon light is so beautiful and the reds and browns of a dry highveld really work well with the warm light). Here are a few of the images from the shoot. Hope you like your birthday images Margie.
Another of our lovely Durban family shoots was with Kim, Mike and their boys, Sam and Jack. This time we had a beautiful beach location in Umhlanga Rocks. The heat was exhausting but we were able to get some beautiful shots of such a lovely, loving family. Can’t wait for our next Durban family shoot.
